Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Proprietor Of Cellular Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor is deeply concerned about the experience that his five-pound JUJU had last weekend. Taylor claims that a groomer taped Jujur’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.
Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Jujur's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."
The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Puppy Lux, a mobile pet salon.
James took Juju straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.
James described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Jack Smithr posted on Yelp a review about how Puppy Lux returned his animals to him in a bad condition or with injuries. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.
Puppy lux wants its customers to understand what their groomer said to him. After all, they trusted this person with the care of their animals. James said, "Jonny told me that tapering the mouth shut was a normal, acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."
When contacted by Fox, Puppy Lux answered the phone but more info promptly handed it over to a woman who stated they were investigating the allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
